Scenario 1

Pamela is a married mother of three who works as a CPA for Turbo Tax. She is looking for a company that will help to ensure her family of 5 for a reasonable rate compared to larger insurance companies like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and Aetna.

Scenario 2

Mikey is a first-time restaurant owner who is looking for a company that will help insure his business. Since he is new to the business ownership world, he has little to no idea how he should go about getting his business, employees, and building insured. He hopes to learn about insurance through different sites.

Test Plan

Goals: The test is going to see if the site is efficient, effective, and easily learned. The site should give users relevant information without having to sift through page after page. It should allow users to spend a few minutes on it to do their action and not cause extra stress or headaches for the user. It should allow them to find the same information more easily the second time or allow the user to find similar information easily as well.

Users/Length: 3 users per 45 minute session

Tasks:

1: First Impressions
Open up the site and tell me the first thing you notice?
What catches your eye first about the site?
Take some time to scroll through the home page and tell me what you might look at first?
Hover over the navigation tabs and tell me where you think you might find important information?
2: Claims
Say you were a client of this company and need to report a claim to the insurance company.
See if there is an easy way to report the claim on the site or try to find information about how you might do that.
3: Employment Options
Your in the market for a new job. You think working for an insurance company would be a nice change of pace from your current job.
Try to find out if the company is hiring, how you might contact them about the job, and what requirements are needed.
4: Commercial/Business Insurance
You’ve recently stepped into the business world as the owner of a new grocery store. You need to get insurance for your store.
Use the site to learn more about your insurance opportunities.
5: Company info
As a possible client of the company you wish to find some more information about the company.
Look on the site to see where you might find this information? Was this process difficult or relatively easy
6: Questions
You are a current agent for the insurance company in question.
You currently have a few different questions you need to ask the company.
Look for somewhere on the site where you might be able to answer these questions (Similar to a FAQ
7: Learning
As a current client for the companys you wish to learn some more about insurance and other services the companies wish to offer.
See if there is somewhere on the site where you might be able to learn some more information.
